Trailer Towing
If you are towing a boat trailer or carrying a boat on the roof of your car it is very important to know the legal position and also to follow the advice given by British Rowing. Please see the links below to BR documents which give very useful information about what to do and know when towing.
As well as this it is the tower’s responsibility to ensure that boats are adequately tied on. The club requires that a minimum of 3 ties are used on all fours and longer eight sections in case one tie comes loose or breaks during a journey. THIS HAS HAPPENED AND A BOAT HAS COME OFF A TRAILER .
