Masters’ Squad

Maidstone Invicta has a large squad of Masters (veteran rowers), both men and women. In rowing you are a master after the age of 27 but in practice the majority of our masters are aged 40 upwards. Masters rowing is one of the growth areas in UK rowing and there are open events throughout the south of England which the club regularly competes at and enjoys success. We also attend the British Rowing Masters Regatta in Nottingham and Henley Masters Regatta.

We train at weekends between 7.30am and 10.00am on Saturdays, Sunday mornings and certain weekday mornings and evenings. Depending upon time of year this can either mean land training or rowing. The squad regularly rows in all types of boat, from eights through fours and quads to small boats. We cater for all abilities from those who have progressed on from Learn to Row courses at the club to people who have been rowing for many years.
