Masters’ Squad

Maidstone Invicta has a large squad of Masters (veteran rowers), both men and women. In rowing you are a master after the age of 27 but in practice the majority of our masters are aged 40 upwards. Masters rowing is one of the growth areas in UK rowing and there are open events throughout the south of England which the club regularly competes at and enjoys success. We also attend the National Masters Regatta in Nottingham and Henley Masters Regatta.

We train at weekends between 7.30am and 10.00am on Saturdays, Sunday mornings and certain weekday evenings, usually Tuesdays and Thursdays. Depending upon time of year this can either mean land training or rowing. There is also a group which rows regularly on weekday mornings. We use the full spectrum of boats from eights through fours and quads to small boats.

We aim to try to cater for all abilities from those who have progressed on from Learn to Row courses at the club to people who have been rowing for many years.
